The Studio Is Open On All In-Service Holidays for Knox Co. Schools
All make-up classes must be scheduled in the office prior to the class.
Make-up classes are not available in April and May
due to Choreography for Spring Concert.

12-17 Student/Teacher Picture Week: Pictures will be made of each student with each of his/her teacher. All dancers need to please wear appropriate dancewear.
19-24 Bring A Friend To Dance Week (Parents observe class and students can invite a friend to take class with them during their regularly scheduled class time)
October
3-8 Measurements are taken at the beginning of class time for Spring Concert Costumes
13-15 Knox Co. Fall Break – Classes will continue as scheduled
November
7-12 Mother/Daughter Dance Week (Students bring their mother to class with them
during their regularly scheduled class time and they dance together)
11-13 AFDC Competition/Convention JUMP in Greenville for Junior, Teen and Senior Company.
13 Buddy’s Race Against Cancer – AFDC Elementary, Apprentice, Mini I & II to perform.
19 *Last Day to add pre-school classes and make final costume payment in order to have a costume for Spring Concert.
20 Music Recital – 2:00 PM
23 Tentative date for Fantasy of Trees Show for selected classes. Time TBA
23-26 Studio Closed for Thanksgiving Holidays

10-12 AFDC Competition Tennessee State in Knoxville for Mini I & II, Apprentice, Elementary, Junior, Teen and Senior.
24-26 AFDC Competition Platinum in Chattanooga for Apprentice, Elementary, Junior, Teen and Senior.

2 Parent Meeting for AFDC Auditions 6:00-7:30 PM at the Farragut Studio (rising 6th – 12th graders)
5 Parent Meeting for AFDC Invited Members (Farragut 3:30 & Powell 6:00)
13 AFDC Convention/Competition Jump in Atlanta, GA for Mini I & II, Apprentice, Elementary, Junior, Teen and Senior.
15 Mandatory Parent Meeting for all parents new to Spring Concert, Fall Pre-Registration ,etc. and all NEW Preschool Parents (Farragut 1:00 PM & Powell 3:00 PM)
16-21 Picture Week Farragut. Pictures for all students that have received their Spring Concert Costumes. Individuals, as well as group pictures will be take of each student during their regularly scheduled class time. If your student’s costume has not arrived by this date your student will have a regular class during this time. A future picture date will be arranged for these students.
22 Student/Parent Appreciation Day at the Cove 12:00 – 3:00 PM (Tentative Date)
23-28 Picture Week Powell. Pictures for all students that have received their Spring Concert Costumes. 23-25 Online Preregistration for CURRENT STUDENTS ONLY
Online preregistration will be open starting 9:00 AM on April 23 until 5:00 PM on April 25.
27 Dogwood Arts Festival Night Parade performance for AFDC at 7:00 PM
28 Dance preregistration for Summer and Fall Classes (Powell 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and Farragut 2:00 PM–4:00 PM (Students that preregistered for Fall may turn in ticket order forms for the Spring Concert during this time)
29 Ticket Order turn in for all students who did not preregister for 2012-2013 season (2PM to 4PM at your studio)
May
5 Company Auditions. Warm-up begins at 8:30 AM Mandatory clinic information will be handed out at the April 2 parent meetin
6 Music Concert– 2:00 PM
14-19 Last Week of regularly scheduled classes.
21-24 Spring Concert Rehearsal Week. Times and detailed information will be available in your Spring Concert Packet.
25 Dress Rehearsal at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. Times and detailed information will be available in your Spring Concert Packet.
26 Spring Concert at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium at 5:00 PM
