Why I did it?
.
Why did I open a performing arts school in 1997?
.
Well, I remember my parents putting me in dance and music lessons knowing it was my passion but probably not knowing it would be my life.
.
I remember a certain someone years ago that told me I would never amount to anything. I remember how my high school English teacher made me feel…. like I wasn’t very smart.
.
I remember the first time I stepped on the field in Neyland Stadium knowing I wasn’t the best majorette with the Pride of the Southland Band, but realizing I had been chosen because of my performance skills.
.
I also remember the day I went to sign my first lease at the Farragut location….worried no one would sign up for classes.
.
Well, my life has changed and now I see it is my way of life. I enjoy knowing I followed in my dads footsteps as a business owner. I enjoy knowing those people that told me I wouldn’t amount to anything, were wrong. Because, I now have the life I wanted so many years ago and am honored to share it with everyone.
.
I get to celebrate our award winning culture with so many amazing families each year. I am fulfilled today knowing I have served over 7100 families since 1997. I love what I do and I love my extremely talented staff for what they bring to the school each and every day.
.
Can you answer this question? Can you tell me….Why you did it? What your challenges were and how things are going now.
