Angela Floyd School for the Dancer was founded in 1997 under the direction of Angela Floyd. The studio is located in the Farragut-Concord area of Knoxville, TN and is home of the award winning Angela Floyd Dance Company. This beautiful state of the art facility houses two studios in the building. Each studio is equipped with professional ballet barres, wall to wall mirrors, and Stage Step floating Marley dance floors. For the comfort of our dancers, the studio also features a private dressing area with enclosed restrooms.
There are also five music rooms for guitar lessons, voice lessons, keyboard/piano lessons, bass lessons, drum lessons, saxophone lessons, flute lessons, ukulele lessons, banjo lessons, violin, viola, and cello lessons. Parents and siblings truly enjoy our 85 inch closed circuit viewing monitor that shows each studio for everyone’s viewing pleasure. In addition, our large glass front waiting area has multiple chairs and we also provide a complimentary coffee/tea bar for your enjoyment.
The West Knoxville/Farragut location is also home to the AFS Rising Stars Preschool Performing Arts Program for Ages 3-5 which prepares children for kindergarten and more! This program meets 3 days a week and includes academics, dance, music, art, acro, french, and more.
In addition, this location in Farragut is home to the ARTS FOR THE AMAZING PROGRAM. Offering a quality dance program for special needs students so they achieve goals beyond what they believe is possible.
North Knoxville

In 2008 the Angela Floyd School for Dance and Music was opened and is located in the Powell area of Knoxville, TN. This beautiful state of the art facility houses two dance studios in the building. Each studio is equipped with professional ballet barres, wall to wall mirrors, and Stage Step floating Marley dance floors. For the comfort of our dancers, the studio also features a private dressing area with enclosed restrooms.
There are also five music rooms for guitar, voice, keyboard, bass and drum, trumpet, violin, viola, banjo, saxophone, ukulele, flute, and cello instruction. Parents and siblings truly enjoy our closed circuit viewing 85 inch monitor that looks into each studio for everyone’s viewing pleasure. In addition, our large glass front waiting area has multiple chairs, and we also provide a complimentary coffee/tea bar for your enjoyment.

This state of the art 5000 square foot facility is available for rent to church groups, scout groups, and more.
If the Knox County Schools are closed due to snow or any other inclement weather, there will be no morning classes. We will attempt to notify everyone of weather related closing by e-mail, our website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. If you are unsure, check our social media first thing then if needed please call before coming to the studio. We cannot call every student about weather related closings.
If the roads are clear by 2:00 pm, we will try to open for afternoon and evening classes. Please check the website, e-mail, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to confirm opening. Again, if you are unsure, please check social media first thing then call before coming to the studio. If classes are cancelled due to extreme weather or events beyond our control, make-up classes or lessons may be scheduled in the office.
